About

Pop, witty, conversational, and critical, Houndstooth is built for a wider audience: one often left out of an industry defined by its thresholds. Rather than reinforcing exclusivity, it opens things up, making space for curiosity and engagement without sacrificing depth. At its core are interviews. Not the kind built on name-dropping or jargon, but conversations shaped by chemistry, where artists speak in their own terms, and ideas unfold with all their nuance and contradiction intact. Each semiannual edition brings together a selection of contemporary practices, documenting a specific moment in time. Collected over time, these editions form an evolving archive: a record of how artists think, work, and respond to the world around them.

Houndstooth was made out of a love for the medium, and it shows. Carefully and passionately printed, each issue is designed to last – to be read, revisited, and kept.

It’s not an encyclopedia. It’s not an art book. It’s a contemporary deep-dive into what’s happening at the intersection of art and popular culture. A magazine to return to, and to be part of.
